5. Locke & Key

A spooky house, mysterious doors, and hidden keys? Sounds like the perfect set-up for Netflix’s latest mystery show, Locke & Key. The ten-episode series is based on Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez’s Locke & Key graphic novels, and stars Jackson Robert Scott, Connor Jessup, and Emilia Jones as the Locke children. After moving into the ancestral manor, the gang start discovering bizarre keys. Pretty soon, they start unlocking all manner of supernatural forces that’ll uncover a family mystery.
4. Ragnarok

A new show for lovers of the supernatural, Ragnarok is part small-town drama and part big-scale incoming apocalypse series. Set in a Norwegian town poisoned by pollution and rattled by melting glaciers, the end of the world feels all too real. It’s up to a group of young heroes, played by David Stakston, Jonas Strand Gravli, Herman Tømmeraas, to fight off an ancient evil.
3. Dracula
Available: 4 January 2020
From the creators of Sherlock comes a retelling of the iconic vampire story, Dracula. The Girl in the Spider’s Web‘s Claes Bang bears fangs as Dracula himself in the miniseries, which is structured as three 90-minute episodes. Set in Transylvania in 1897, the show follows the blood-drinking Count who is drawing his plans against Victorian London, and trying to keep one step ahead of his prey.
2. The Ranch – Part 8 (Season 4)

If you’re unfamiliar with The Ranch, it’s Ashton Kutcher’s post-Two and a Half Men sitcom which gives a hilarious look at life on a ranch house, with a crazy family to go with the antics. The final episodes are hitting Netflix this year, and they’re sure to deliver some laughs and emotional moments. It’s a great show that’s well worth catching up with if you’re yet to discover it.

If your dose of entertainment requires a sporting dream, drama, and a touch of romance, Spinning Out should be on your radar this year. Starring Kaya Scodelario, January Jones, and Will Kemp, Spinning Out tells the story of a figure skating Olympic hopeful struggles to balance love, family and fragile mental health as her dream of winning takes a dizzying hold.
